Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point CALIBRATION .

Check ABS3 fuse (Access Cab., Standard Cab.)/ABS No. 2 fuse (Double Cab.).
PREPARATION:

Remove the ABS3 fuse/ABS No. 2 fuse.

CHECK:

Measure the resistance of the ABS3 fuse/ABS No. 2 fuse.

OK:

Resistance: Below 1 Ω (Continuity)
1. NG: Check for short in all harnesses and connectors connected to fuse and replace ABS3 fuse/ABS No. 2 fuse.
2. OK: Go to next step.
Measure the voltage of the master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU +BS terminal).
PREPARATION:

Disconnect the skid control ECU connector S29.

CHECK:

Measure the voltage between +BS terminal and body ground.

OK:

Voltage: 10 to 14 V

1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector (+BS circuit).
2. OK: Go to next step.
Check for open circuit in harness and connector between GND terminal of the master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU) and body ground.
1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector (GND circuit).
2. OK: Go to next step.
Reconfirm DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
PREPARATION:

Clear the DTCs.

CHECK:

Check if the same DTCs are detected.

RESULT:
DTC OUTPUT RESULT

DTC is output A

DTC is not output B
1. B: END.
2. A: Replace master cylinder solenoid (See DISASSEMBLY ).
