Skid Control Ecu ASSY: Replacement

  1. Disconnect battery negative battery cable.
  2. Remove instrument panel sub-assy w/passenger airbag assy. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
  3. Remove steering column assy. See STEERING COLUMN .
  4. Remove skid control ECU assy.
    1. Disconnect the clamp of wire harness and the skid control buzzer from the skid control computer bracket.
    2. Disconnect the connector from the skid control computer.
    3. Remove the 3 nuts and the skid control computer assy.
  5. Install skid control ECU assy.
    1. Install the skid control computer assy with the 3 nuts.
    2. Connect the connector to the skid control computee assy.
    3. Install the clamp of wire harness and the skid control buzzer to the skid control computer bracket.
  6. Install steering column assy (See STEERING COLUMN .)
  7. Install instrument panel sub-assy w/passenger air bag assy. (See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .)
  8. Connect battery negative terminal
  9. Perform initialization. (See ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM - DIAGNOSIS .)
  10. System initialization. (See ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM - DIAGNOSIS .)
  11. Perform yawrate sensor zero point calibration. (See ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM - DIAGNOSIS .)
  12. Check and clear DTC. (See ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM - DIAGNOSIS .)
