Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY (DRIVER SIDE) 
    1. Disconnect the front seat inner belt assy connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Terminal No Condition Specified condition
    B15-1 - B15-2 Seat belt is fastened 10 kΩ or higher
    B15-1 - B15-2 Seat belt is unfastened Below 1Ω

    NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY (DRIVER SIDE) 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY - COMBINATION METER ASSY) (SEE  INTRODUCTION  ) 
    1. Disconnect the C10 and B15 connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    C10-6 - B15-2 Always Below 1Ω
    B15-1 - Body ground Always Below 1Ω
    C10-6 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY (SEE  INSTRUMENT PANEL/METER  )
