Inspection Procedure

- INSPECT SPEED SENSOR INSTALLATION
- Check the speed sensor installation.
OK: The installation bolt is tightened properly and there is no clearance between the sensor and transaxle case.
- NG: REPLACE SPEED SENSOR (NT)
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- Check the speed sensor installation.
- INSPECT SPEED SENSOR (NT)
- Disconnect the speed sensor connector from the transaxle.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

- NG: REPLACE SPEED SENSOR (NT)
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPEED SENSOR - ECM)
- Connect the speed sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition 20°C (68°F) E8 - 27 (NT+) - E8 - 35 (NT-) 560 to 680 Ω - Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard (Check for short):
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
- OK: REPLACE ECM (See REPLACEMENT )
