Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to "WIRING DIAGRAM ".
- CHECK PEDAL ADJUSTING SENSOR SIGNAL
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Check voltage between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.
Terminal Condition Voltage (V) (Approx.) (+) (-) Automatic drive positioner control unit Terminal M33 8 Ground Pedal assembly position Forward 0.5 Backward 4.5 Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 4
NO: GO TO 2
- CHECK PEDAL ADJUSTING SENSOR CIRCUIT
- Disconnect automatic drive positioner control unit and pedal adjusting motor assembly.
- Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and pedal adjusting motor assembly harness connector.
Automatic drive positioner control unit connector Terminal Pedal adjusting motor assembly connector Terminal Continuity M33 (A) 8 E110 (B) 4 Yes M34 (C) 33 3 41 5 - Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.
Automatic drive positioner control unit connector Terminal Ground Continuity M33 (A) 8 No M34 (C) 33 41 Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 3
NO: Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK DOOR MIRROR OPERATION
- Connect automatic drive positioner control unit and pedal adjusting motor assembly.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check door mirror operation with memory function.
Is the operation normal?
YES: Replace pedal adjusting motor assembly. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
NO: Replace automatic drive positioner control unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to "INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Replace automatic drive positioner control unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
NO: Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
