Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the wheel and tire using power tool. Refer to "ROTATION ".
  2. Support the lower link with a jack.
  3. Remove the fender protector to access the upper link. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  4. Remove the cotter pin and the nut from the upper link ball joint. Discard the cotter pin.
  5. Separate the upper link ball joint stud from the steering knuckle using Tool.

    Tool number: ST29020001 (J-24319-01)

  6. Remove the upper link bolts and nuts. Remove the upper link.
