Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to "WIRING DIAGRAM ".
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between rear window defogger connector D406 terminal 1 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 2
NO: GO TO 3
- CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect rear window defogger.
- Check continuity between rear window defogger connector D604 terminal 2 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 4
NO: Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY
- Disconnect IPDM E/R.
- Check continuity between rear window defogger connector D406 (A) terminal 1 and IPDM E/R connector E124 (B) terminal 60.

YES: GO TO 5
NO: Replace or repair harness.
- CHECK FILAMENT
Check filament.
Refer to "COMPONENT INSPECTION ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Refer to "INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".
NO: Repair filament. Refer to "INSPECTION AND REPAIR ".
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Check intermittent incident.
Refer to "INTERMITTENT INCIDENT ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Check the following.
- Battery power supply circuit.
- IPDM E/R.
NO: Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
