Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL 
    1. Select "METER/M&A" on CONSULT.
    2. Monitor "DOOR W/L" of "DATA MONITOR" while opening and closing doors.

      DOOR W/L 

      Front door LH open: ON 

      Front door LH closed: OFF 

      Front door RH open: ON 

      Front door RH closed: OFF 

      Rear door LH open: ON 

      Rear door LH closed: OFF 

      Rear door RH open: ON 

      Rear door RH closed: OFF 

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: Replace combination meter. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

      NO: GO TO 2

  2. CHECK BCM INPUT SIGNAL 
    1. Select "BCM" on CONSULT.
    2. Monitor "DOOR SW DR", "DOOR SW AS", "DOOR SW RL" and "DOOR SW RR" of "DATA MONITOR" while opening and closing doors.

      When doors are open 

      DOOR SW DR: ON 

      DOOR SW AS: ON 

      DOOR SW RL: ON 

      DOOR SW RR: ON 

      When doors are closed 

      DOOR SW DR: OFF 

      DOOR SW AS: OFF 

      DOOR SW RL: OFF 

      DOOR SW RR: OFF 

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: Replace BCM. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

      NO: GO TO 3

  3. CHECK DOOR SWITCHES 
    1. Disconnect door switches.
    2. Check continuity between door switch (front LH), (front RH), (rear LH) and (rear RH) terminal 2 and exposed metal of switch while pressing and releasing switch.

      When door switch is released: Continuity should exist 

      When door switch is pushed: Continuity should not exist

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: Repair open or short in circuit between BCM and door switch.

      NO: Replace door switch.
