Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the terminals and connectors of the A/T assembly for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 2.
NO: Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
- Disconnect the connector of A/T assembly.
- Check the resistance between the A/T assembly harness connector terminals.
A/T assembly harness connector Resistance (Ω) Connector No. Terminal No. F9 3 8 Approx. 54 - 66 Is the measurement value within the specification?
YES: GO TO 3.
NO: Repair the TCM branch line.
- CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
- Remove the control valve with TCM. Refer to "CONTROL VALVE WITH TCM ".
- Disconnect the connector of TCM.
- Check the continuity between the A/T assembly connector and the TCM harness connector.

YES: GO TO 4.
NO: Repair the harness between the A/T assembly connector and the TCM harness connector.
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the power supply and the ground circuit of the TCM. Refer to "DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES (Present error): Replace the control valve with TCM. Refer to "CONTROL VALVE WITH TCM ".
YES (Past error): Error was detected in the TCM branch line.
NO: Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
