Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT TERMINAL VOLTAGE (OD-BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the cruise control ECU connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    3. Measure the voltage between terminal OD of cruise control ECU and body ground.

    Standard:

    1. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL ECU ASSY (See  TERMINALS OF ECU  ) 
    2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  2. INSPECT TERMINAL VOLTAGE (OD1-BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the voltage between terminal OD1 of ECM and body ground.

    Standard:

    1. OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ) 
    2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OD1-BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard (Check for short): 

    TESTER CONNECTION RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Specified Condition
    E5-18 (OD1) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ) 
    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
