Inspection Procedure
- INSPECT FUSE (ABS1 FUSE)
- Remove ABS1 fuse from the FL BLOCK.
- Check continuity of ABS1 fuse.
Standard:
ABS No fuseABS No.2 fuse Below 1 Ω (Continuity)
- NG: CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESS AND CONNECTOR CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
SPECIFICATION TESTER CONNECTIONTester Connection Specified Condition S27-31 (+BS) - S27-32 (GND)10 to 14 V
- NG: Go to step NO TAG
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- RECONFIRM DTC
- Clear the DTCs (see PRE-CHECK ).
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Are the same DTCs recorded?NOTE: When replacing ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY, perform zero point calibration (see PRE-CHECK ).
- NO: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- YES: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard:
SPECIFICATION TESTER CONNECTIONTester Connection Specified Condition S27-32 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- RECONFIRM PTC
- Clear the DTCs (see PRE-CHECK ).
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Are the same DTCs recorded? (see
PRE-CHECK ).
HINT:
It is suspect that the DTCs output was caused by the poor connection of the connector terminal.
- NO: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- YES: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
