Hydraulic Brake Booster: Disassembly

  1. Remove the brake actuator tube and suction hose. See Fig 1. Using special tool (09023-00100), remove brake actuator tube. Remove the 2 clips and suction hose. Remove the 4 bolts and brake power supply bracket No. 3. See Fig 2.
  2. Remove pressure switch assembly. Remove the 2 bolts, clamp and brake booster pump bracket No. 1. Remove the 3 bolts and brake booster pump bracket No. 2. Remove the 2 screws and disconnect the wire harness from the booster pump.
  3. Disconnect the connectors from the connector bracket. Remove the bolt, clamp and connector bracket. Remove the 4 bolts, brake power supply bracket No. 1 and No. 2.
  4. Place booster pump with a cloth in a vise. See Fig 3. To remove accumulator from booster pump, remove the 2 washers, 3 cushions, 2 collars, and sleeve. Using special tool (09318-12010), remove accumulator. Remove spring, silencer tube and "O" ring. See Fig 4.
    NOTE: Do not let foreign matter enter pump.
