Front Bumper: Replacement

HINT:

• The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
• A bolt without torque specification is a standard bolt (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE LOWER 
   1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 clips and 6 claws, and remove the radiator grille.

   HINT:

   Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER SUB-ASSY 
   1. Disconnect the 2 turn signal lamp connectors.
   2. w/ Fog lamp:

      Disconnect the 2 fog lamp connectors.

   3. Remove the 3 clips.

   4. Remove the 6 bolts and front bumper cover.
   5. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the bumper cover.

   HINT:

   Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSY 
   1. Remove the 4 nuts and bumper reinforcement.

5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT PLATE 
   1. Using a screwdriver, remove the reinforcement plate.

   HINT:

   Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 
   1. Using a screwdriver, remove the mounting bracket.

   HINT:

   Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET RH 

   HINT:

   Use the same procedures described above for the LH side.

8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
   1. Remove the 2 bolts and side support.
9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 
10. REMOVE FRONT VALANCE PANEL 
    1. Remove the 5 nuts and valance panel.
11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH (W/O FOG LAMP) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and hole cover LH.
12. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH (W/O FOG LAMP) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and hole cover RH.
13. REMOVE FOG LAMP ASSY LH (W/ FOG LAMP) (SEE  FOG LAMP UNIT LH  ) 
14. REMOVE FOG LAMP ASSY RH (W/ FOG LAMP) 
15. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP LH (SEE  FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP LENS LH  ) 
16. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP RH 
17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSY 
    1. Install the bumper reinforcement with the 4 nuts.

    Torque: 58 N.m (591 kgf.cm, 43 ft.lbf)

18. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
19. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP LH (SEE  FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP LENS LH  ) 
20. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP RH 
21. INSTALL FOG LAMP ASSY LH (W/ FOG LAMP) (SEE  FOG LAMP UNIT LH  ) 
22. INSTALL FOG LAMP ASSY RH (W/ FOG LAMP) 
23. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH (W/O FOG LAMP) 
    1. Install the hole cover RH with the 2 screws.
24. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH (W/O FOG LAMP) 
    1. Install the hole cover LH with the 2 screws.
25. INSTALL FRONT VALANCE PANEL
    1. Install the valance panel with the 5 nuts.

       Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) 

26. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 
    1. Install the front bumper side support RH with the 2 screws.

       Torque: 3.0 N.m (31 kgf.cm, 27 in.lbf) 

27. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Install the front bumper side support LH with the 2 screws.

       Torque: 3.0 N.m (31 kgf.cm, 27 in.lbf) 

28. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET RH 
    1. Install the front bumper side mounting bracket RH.
29. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 
    1. Install the front bumper side mounting bracket LH.
30. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT PLATE 
    1. Install the front bumper reinforcement plate.
31. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER SUB-ASSY 
    1. Install the bumper cover with the 6 bolts.

       Torque: 

       • 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) (bolt A) 
       • 3.0 N.m (31 kgf.cm, 27 in.lbf) (bolt B) 
    2. Install the 3 clips.
    3. w/ Fog lamp:

       Connect the 2 fog lamp connectors.

    4. Connect the 2 turn signal lamp connectors.

32. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE LOWER 
    1. Install the radiator grille.
33. ADJUST FOG LIGHT AIM (W/ FOG LAMP) (SEE  ADJUSTMENT  ) 
34. CHECK FOG LIGHT AIM (W/ FOG LAMP) (SEE  ADJUSTMENT  )
