REAR NO. 2 SEAT LH (3rd SEAT): Overhaul

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH and RH side.

  1. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LH 
    1. Disengage the claws and remove the seat leg cover.

    2. Release the rear seat lock and remove the seat.
    3. Remove the headrests.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT BACK COVER SUB-ASSY LH 
    1. Disengage the claws and remove the 2 screws and reclining cover LH.

    2. Remove the screw cover, screw and release handle.

    3. Disengage the claws and remove the 2 screws and reclining cover RH.
    4. Open the fastener of the seatback cover and remove the seatback protector.
    5. Remove the screw and the cushion.

    6. Remove the headrest supports.
    7. Remove the seatback cover together with the pad.
    8. Cut the hog rings and remove the seatback cover.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT CUSHION COVER SUB-ASSY LH 
    1. Insert a screwdriver between the seat cushion cover and seat cushion under cover.
      NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. Pry the seat cushion cover hem to disengage it.
    3. Cut the hog rings and remove the seat cushion cover.
  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT INNER 
    1. Remove the nut and seat beat inner.
  5. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION FRAME SUB-ASSY LH 
    1. Remove the 4 screws and seat cushion under cover.
    2. Remove the nut and stopper band.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 springs and seat leg.
  6. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION FRAME SUB-ASSY LH 
    1. Install the spring between the seat frame and seat leg.
    2. Install the seat leg with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 18 N.m (185 kgf.cm 13 ft.lbf) 

    3. Install the stopper band with the nut.
    4. Install the seat cushion under cover with the 4 screws.
  7. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT INNER 
    1. Install the seat belt inner with the nut.

    Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm 31 ft.lbf) 

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 SEAT CUSHION COVER SUB-ASSY LH 
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover with new hog rings.
    2. Place the seat cushion cover together with the pad on the seat frame.
    3. Engage the seat cushion cover hem to the seat cushion under cover securely.
  9. INSTALL NO. 2 SEAT BACK COVER SUB-ASSY LH 
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover with new hog rings.
    2. Install the seatback cover together with the pad to the seat frame.
    3. Install the headrest supports.
    4. Install the seatback protector.
    5. Close the fastener of the seatback cover.
    6. Install the cushion with the screw.
    7. Install the reclining cover RH with the 2 screws.

    8. Install the release handle with the screw.
    9. Install the screw cover.

    10. Install the reclining cover LH with the 2 screws.
  10. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT LH 
    1. Install the headrests.
    2. Install the seat.
    3. Install the seat leg cover.
