Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point CALIBRATION  ).
  1. INSPECT SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
    2. Ground terminal IND of the skid control ECU.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    4. Check that the slip indicator light comes on.

    OK: 

    Slip indicator light comes on. 

    1. NG: Go to step 2 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

      REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN SKID CONTROL ECU AND COMBINATION METER) ( HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  ) 
    1. Disconnect the combination meter connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S28-34 (IND) - C10-20 Below 1Ω
      S28-34 (IND) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY 
    1. Check the combination meter system (see HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
      1. NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY ( COMBINATION METER ASSY  ) 
      2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

        END
