Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point CALIBRATION
.
- INSPECT IF SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR IS SECURELY CONNECTED
- Check the skid control ECU connector's connecting condition.
OK:
The connector should be securely connected.
- NG: CONNECT CONNECTOR TO ECU
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT BATTERY
- Check the battery voltage.
Standard:
Voltage: 11 to 14 V
- NG: INSPECT CHARGING SYSTEM ( ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION , ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (IG1 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION (1 OF 3)Tester Connection Specified Condition S28-46(IG1)- Body ground 10 to 14 V
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IG1 CIRCUIT)
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU (S29) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION (2 OF 3)
Tester Connection Specified Condition S28-1 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1Ω S28-32 (GND2) - Body ground Below 1Ω S29-4 (GND3) - Body ground Below 1Ω
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN SKID CONTROL ECU AND COMBINATION METER) ( HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
)
- Disconnect the combination meter connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION (3 OF 3)Tester Connection Specified Condition S28-29 (WA) - C11 -4 Below 1Ω S28-29 (WA) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY
- Check the combination meter system (see HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
- NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY ( COMBINATION METER ASSY )
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID (SEE OVERHAUL )
