With Hand-Held Tester

    NOTE: Do not keep solenoid activated for more than 2 seconds at one time. Allow an interval of 20 seconds or more if activating solenoids continuously.
  1. Turn ignition OFF and connect hand held tester to DLC3, located under driver's side knee panel. Turn ignition switch ON, and select AIR BLEEDING on hand held tester. While holding down brake pedal, turn SRRR solenoid ON with hand held tester.
  2. Turn SRRR solenoid OFF with the hand tester, and release brake pedal. Check that the pump motor stops after 20 seconds. Repeat step  1, three times.
  3. Clear DTC. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES article under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS under FAULT ISOLATION in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. After erasing, turn ignition OFF to protect ECU. Disconnect hand tester.
  4. With ignition OFF, depress the brake pedal more than 40 times. Remove reservoir cap and add brake fluid to MAX line.
