Inspection Procedure
- Perform Active Test By OBD II Scan Tool Or Toyota Hand-Held Tester
- Check driver's seat belt warning operation.
- Connect the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester to DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester.
- Check that the driver's seat belt warning operation.
- OK: Go To Next Step
, (Read Value Of OBD II Scan Tool Or Toyota Hand-Held Tester).
- NG: Check And Replace Combination Meter Assy
- Read Value Of OBD II Scan Tool Or Toyota Hand-Held Tester
- Check output value of driver's side buckle switch.
- Connect the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester to DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the DATA LIST mode on the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester.
- Check the driver's buckle switch using DATA LIST.
- OK: Go To Next Step
, (Inspect Front Seat Inner Belt Assy LH (Buckle Switch).
- NG: Go To Step 5
- Inspect Front Seat Inner Belt Assy LH (Buckle Switch)

- Check continuity.
- Disconnect the connector from seat belt inner belt RH.
- Check continuity between terminals 1 and 4 when buckle switch condition, as shown in the chart.

- OK: Go To Next Step
, (Check Harness And Connector (Between Body ECU And Front Seat Belt Inner LH).
- NG: Replace Front Seat Inner Belt Assy LH
- Check Harness And Connector (Between Body ECU And Front Seat Belt Inner LH)
- OK: Check And Replace Multiplex Network Body ECU
- NG: Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector
- Check That Malfunction Disappear A Known Good Combination Meter Is Installed
- Check that malfunction disappear when a known good combination meter is installed.
