Inspection Procedure

  1. Perform Active Test By OBD II Scan Tool Or Toyota Hand-Held Tester 
    1. Check indicators and warning light operation.
      1. Connect the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester to DLC3.
      2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester main switch ON.
      3. Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester.
      4. Check that light turn ON or OFF as the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester directs

        OK: The Indicator Or Warning Light Operate Normally.

    1. OK: Proceed To Next Circuit Inspection Shown On Problem Symptom Table. See COMBINATION METER - DIAGNOSTICS  .
    2. NG: Check And Replace Combination Meter Assy
