Circuit Description

Shifting is performed in combination with ON and OFF position of shift solenoids controlled by ECM. If an open or short circuit occurs in any shift solenoid, ECM reverts to fail-safe mode. See Figure. DTCs are set when ECM detects solenoid is energized and resistance is 8 ohms or less, or when solenoid is not energized and solenoid resistance is 100 k/ohms or more. Possible causes:
