L4-L4 Shift (Center Differential Lock "Free" Shift To Center Differential Lock "Lock" Shift - Sequoia)

- Ignition switch ON and ensure the 2-4 selector switch is turned to the OFF position.
- Check that the 4WD indicator light comes on when the transfer shift lever is shifted to the "L4" position.
- Check that the center differential lock indicator light comes on when the transmission shift lever is shifted to the "L" position.
- Check that the center differential lock indicator light alone goes off when the transmission shift lever is shifted to any one of positions except "L" position. See Fig 1.
- Check that both the 4WD indicator light and the center differential lock indicator light go off when the transfer shift lever is shifted to the "H" position. Inspection should be performed with the vehicle stopped. If switching is not completed, the center differential lock indicator light flashes.
