Circuit Description

While the engine is being cranked, the battery positive voltage is applied to terminal STA of the ECM. DTC is set when all conditions (vehicle speed greater than 12 MPH, engine speed greater than 1000 RPM and STA signal on) are satisfied for 20 seconds with battery voltage of 10.5 volts or more. Possible causes are:
- Faulty park/neutral position switch.
- Faulty starter relay circuit.
- Faulty ignition switch.
- Faulty ECM.
