Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus ES 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. After confirming DTCs P0100, P0102 or P0103, use hand-held tester to check mass air flow ratio from the "DIAGNOSIS/ENHANCED OBD-II/DATA LIST/ALL DATA/MAF". See MASS AIR FLOW RATIO  table.
  2. Read freeze frame data using hand-held tester or OBD-II scan tool, as freeze frame data records engine conditions when a malfunction is detected. When troubleshooting, it is useful to determine whether vehicle was running or stopped, engine was warmed up or not, air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, etc. at time of malfunction.
