Removal & Installation (Regular Cab)

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least 90 seconds. Remove 5 screws and front door scuff plate. See Figure. Remove caps, Torx screws (T30) and assist grip. Using screwdriver, remove front pillar garnish and back panel upper garnish.
- Remove bolt and front seat outer belt floor anchor. Remove quarter trim belt hole cover. Remove cap, bolt and front seat outer belt shoulder anchor. Using screwdriver, remove quarter trim. Disconnect pretensioner electrical connector. When removing retractor, do not pull on pretensioner wire harness. Remove 2 bolts and front seat outer retractor/pretensioner.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Ensure pretensioner wiring is properly routed and is not pinched between other parts. Check AIR BAG warning light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
