Removal & Installation (Power Seat, Manual Seat Similar)

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Remove 4 seat track covers, 4 bolts, disconnect electrical connectors, then remove front seat. See Fig 1. Remove headrest and front seat cushion shield. Remove sliding knob and reclining knob. Remove front seat cushion cover.
- Remove seat cushion inner shield screw and shield. Remove seat belt buckle bolt, disconnect connectors and remove buckle. Remove seat cushion front shield. Remove seat cushion lower shield screw and shield. Remove power seat switch. Remove bolts, disconnect connector and remove seat cushion assembly. Remove hog rings at lower seat back frame. Remove 4 bolts and seat back assembly. Remove armrest. Remove side air bag module from seat back assembly.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Check the AIR BAG warning light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
