4H-4L Shift

NOTE: For circuit reference, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and/or WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  1. Turn the ignition ON. Place the transmission gearshift lever in the "N" position.
  2. Turn the touch select 2-4 switch ON. Check that the 4L indicator light comes on and the 4H indicator light goes off when the touch select high-low switch is in ON position. See Fig 1.
  3. Check that the 4L indicator lights go off and the 4H indicator lights come on when the touch select high-low switch is in the OFF position.
  4. Inspection should be performed with the vehicle stopped, and transmission gearshift lever in "N" position. If switching is not completed after 3 seconds of shift operation, the 4L indicator light will flash.
