Preliminary Inspection

Before testing the transaxle, ensure the fluid level is correct and the throttle and shift cables are properly adjusted. Ensure engine starts with the gearshift lever in the PARK and NEUTRAL positions, to ensure proper adjustment of PNP switch. If a problem is duplicated on a road test and no mechanical malfunction is found, check for stored DTCs. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
