Circuit Description

On all models driven by transmission output shaft, sensor outputs a pulse signal to combination meter. Combination meter converts signal to a more precise waveform for ECM. DTC is set when ECM does not detect any signal while vehicle is in motion. Possible causes are:
- Open or short in vehicle speed sensor circuit.
- No. 1 VSS failure.
- Combination meter malfunction.
- ECM malfunction.
