O/D Direct Clutch Speed Sensor (Sequoia, Tundra 4.7L & 4Runner)
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2002 Toyota Tundra, 2002 Toyota Tacoma, 2002 Toyota Sequoia, 2002 Toyota 4Runner, and 2001 Toyota Tundra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Sensor delivers input signal to ECM, indicating O/D input shaft RPM. By comparing O/D direct clutch speed sensor signal and vehicle speed sensor signal, ECM detects shift timing of gears and controls engine torque and hydraulic pressure in response to various conditions. Sensor is located on left side of transmission, near torque converter housing. See Figure, Figure and Figure .
