1ST & Reverse Brake Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove snap ring. Remove flange, discs and plates. See Figure. Note number and location of all components. Using appropriate compressor, compress piston return spring and remove snap ring.
  2. Hold clutch piston and carefully apply air pressure to oil pump port. See Figure. Remove 1st and reverse clutch piston.
  3. Insert Sleeve Remover (09350-07080) behind reaction sleeve. Remove reaction sleeve from case. See Figure. Insert Piston Remover (09350-07090) behind No. 1 brake piston. Remove No. 1 brake piston from case. See Figure.
