Overdrive Switch

Overdrive (O/D) switch is a momentary type switch and provides an input signal to ECM to indicate when overdrive is disabled by vehicle operator. When ignition switch is turned to ON position, O/D main switch is reset to ON position. 4th gear is enabled with gearshift lever in "D" position, and O/D OFF indicator on instrument panel will not illuminate. When O/D main switch is pressed once (O/D OFF position), 4th gear is disabled and O/D OFF indicator will illuminate. O/D main switch is mounted on gearshift lever.
