Removal & Installation (RX 300)

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove rear wheels.
- Remove union bolt and gasket from caliper. Disconnect flexible hose from caliper. Use a container to catch brake fluid as it drains out.
- Remove installation bolt and remove caliper from torque plate. See Fig 1.
- Remove brake pads with anti-squeal shims and pad support plates.
- Remove main pin.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten main pin, installation bolt and flexible hose to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Fill brake reservoir with brake fluid and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
- Check system for leaks.
