Removal (LX 470)

NOTE: Before starting procedure, turn ignition off. Depress brake pedal more than 40 times to deplete booster pressure. DO NOT turn ignition on until booster is reinstalled.
  1. Draw out fluid with syringe.
  2. Remove scuff plate, cowl side trim, lower No. 1 panel, left lower panel and No. 2 heater to register duct. See Fig 1.
  3. Remove nuts and ABS & TRAC & VSC ECU.
  4. Remove charcoal canister.
  5. Remove Hydraulic Brake Booster harness connectors.
  6. Disconnect brake lines using special tool (09023-00100).
  7. Remove clip and clevis pin.
  8. Remove booster installation nuts and remove hydraulic brake booster assembly and gasket.
