Heater Unit: Removal

Remove cooling unit. See step 10 under COOLING UNIT REMOVAL.
Drain engine coolant from radiator.
NOTE: It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.
Disconnect water hoses from heater radiator pipes.
1. Using pliers, grip the claw of clip and slide the clip along the hose.

2. Disconnect the water hoses.
  NOTE:
  At the time of installation, please refer to the following items.
  - Push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe as far as the second ridge on the pipe.
  - Install the hose clip in a position, as shown in the illustration.

Remove instrument panel and reinforcement. See INSTRUMENT PANEL .
Remove defroster nozzle and heater to register duct.
Remove heater unit.
1. Remove the 3 nuts and heater unit.
