Compressor And Magnetic Clutch: Removal

- Run engine at idle speed with A/C on for approx. 10 minutes.
- Stop engine.
- Disconnect negative (-) terminal cable from battery.
- Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system.
- 5VZ-FE engine: Remove engine under cover.
- 5VZ-FE engine: Disconnect discharge and suction hoses.
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the both hoses.
NOTE: Cap the open fitting immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system. - 2UZ-FE engine: Disconnect discharge and suction hoses.
Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the both hoses.
NOTE: Cap the open fitting immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system. - Remove drive belt. See REMOVAL .
- 5VZ-FE engine: Remove compressor.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts and compressor.
- 2UZ-FE engine: Remove compressor.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts and nut.
- Remove the cooler bracket.
- Remove the compressor.
