Inspection Procedure

  1. Check voltage between terminals RMGV of luggage room J/B ECU connector and body ground. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Remove the luggage room J/B ECU with connectors still connected.

    CHECK: 

    1. Turn ignition switch to ON.
    2. Rear A/C switch to ON.
    3. Measure voltage between terminals RMGV of luggage room J/B ECU connector and body ground.

    OK: 

    Voltage: Below 1.0 V

    1. OK : Go to step   4 . 
    2. NG : Go to next step. 
  2. Check rear magnetic valve. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Remove the rear magnetic valve (See REAR COOLING UNIT ).

    CHECK: 

    Check the air passage through the valve with and without the battery positive voltage applied between terminals as shown in the chart.

    OK: 

    AIR PASSAGE CONDITION

    Condition Air passage
    Apply B+ between terminals Free passage
    Not apply B+ between terminals No passage

    1. NG : Replace rear magnetic valve. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  3. Check harness and connector between luggage room J/B ECU and rear magnetic valve (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Check and replace luggage room J/B ECU. 
  4. Check voltage between terminals RMGV of A/C amplifier connector and body ground. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Remove the A/C amplifier with connectors still connected.

    CHECK: 

    1. Turn ignition switch to ON.
    2. Rear A/C switch to ON.
    3. Measure voltage between terminals RMGV of A/C amplifier connector and body ground.

    OK: 

    Voltage: Below 1.0 V

    1. OK : Go to step   6 . 
    2. NG : Go to next step. 
  5. Check harness and connector between RMGV of A/C amplifier and rear magnetic valve (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  6. Check harness and connector between IG of A/C amplifier and rear magnetic valve (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Check and replace A/C amplifier.
