Inspection Procedure

  1. Check Transponder key ECU. 

    CHECK: 

    Check whether or not the engine is activated.

    1. NG : Replace Transponder key ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    2. YES : Go to next step. 
  2. Check wire harness. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Pull out the ECU connectors mentioned below.

    DTC DETECTION ITEM

    Wire harness side connector of ECU Terminal
    Transponder key ECU - Driver door ECU MPX1 (T9-4) - MPX1 (D25-17)
    Transponder key ECU - Theft deterrent ECU MPX1 (T9-4) - MPX (T5-13)

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity of the wire harness between the connectors.

    OK: 

    There is a continuity between the connectors. 

    HINT:

    If there is OPEN in any wire harness, please repair it.

    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness. 
    2. OK : Replace Transponder key ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
