Inspection Procedure

  1. Check combination meter ECU. 

    CHECK: 

    Start the engine and check that the speed meter and tachometer operate normally.

    HINT:

    With this inspection, whether or not the combination meter ECU CPU functions normally can be diagnosed.

    1. NG : Replace combination meter ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  2. Check wire harness. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Pull out the ECU connectors mentioned below.

    DTC DETECTION ITEM

    Wire harness side connector of ECU Terminal
    Combination meter - Gateway ECU MPX+ (C12-2) - MPXI2 (G3-16)
    Combination meter-Skid control ECU MPX- (C12-3) - MPX1 (S12-8)

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity of the wire harness between the connectors.

    OK: 

    There is a continuity between the connectors. 

    HINT:

    If there is OPEN in any wire harness, please repair it.

    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness. 
    2. OK : Replace combination meter ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
