Inspection Procedure

  1. Check wire harness. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Pull out the ECU connectors mentioned below.

    DTC DETECTION ITEM

    Wire harness side connector of ECU Terminal
    Theft deterrent ECU - Gateway ECU MPX2 (T5-33) - MPD1 (G3-4)
    Theft deterrent ECU - Transponder key ECU MPX1 (T5-13) - MPX2 (T9-5)

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity of the wire harness between the connectors.

    OK: 

    There is a continuity between the connectors. 

    HINT:

    If there is OPEN in any wire harness, please repair it.

    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness. 
    2. OK : Replace theft deterrent ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
