Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus LS 430. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check rear door LH ECU. 

    CHECK: 

    Check if the rear door left window glass automatically moves up.

    HINT:

    With this inspection, whether or not the rear door LH ECU functions normally can be diagnosed.

    1. NG : Replace rear door LH ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  2. Check wire harness. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Pull out the ECU connectors mentioned below.

    DTC DETECTION ITEM

    Wire harness side connector of ECU Terminal
    Rear door LH ECU - Driver door ECU MPX1 (R13-18) - MPX2 (DI5-26)
    Rear door LH ECU - Rear door RH ECU MPX2 (R13-20) - MPX1 (R15-18)

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity of the wire harness between the connectors.

    OK: 

    There is a continuity between the connectors. 

    HINT:

    If there is OPEN in any wire harness, please repair it.

    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness. 
    2. OK : Replace rear door LH ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
