Inspection Procedure

  1. Check tilt and telescopic ECU. 

    CHECK: 

    Check the operation of the manual tilt and telescopic.

    HINT:

    With this inspection, whether or not the tile and telescopic ECU CPU functions normally can be diagnosed.

    1. NG : Replace tilt and telescopic ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  2. Check wire harness. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Pull out the ECU connectors mentioned below.

    DTC DETECTION ITEM

    Wire harness side connector of ECU Terminal
    Tilt and telescopic ECU - Driver side J/B ECU MPX1 (P8-3) - MPX2 (D3-7)
    Tilt and telescopic ECU - Combination switch MPX2 (P8-8) - MPX1 (C14-9)

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity of the wire harness between the connectors.

    OK: 

    There is a continuity between the connectors. 

    HINT:

    If there is OPEN in any wire harness, please repair it.

    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness. 
    2. OK : Replace tilt and telescopic ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
