Inspection Procedure

HINT:

In case of not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start step  3.

  1. Whether or not this DTC Is cleared when the power window is lowered from fully closed condition to half opened condition. 
    1. YES : It is suspected that the DTC was detected by ECU with any failure Ira the past. 
    2. NO : Go to next step. 
  2. Check jam protection limit switch using LEXUS band-held tester. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC 3.

    CHECK: 

    Check the jam protection limit switch using DATA LIST.

    1. NG : Replace rear door RH ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  3. Check jam protection limit switch (See  INSPECTION  ). 
    1. NG : Replace the power window motor. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  4. Check wire harness and connector between jam protection limit switch and rear door RH ECU. (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ) 
    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Replace rear door RH ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
