Circuit Description

This DTC is output when failure of the cam position switch circuit is detected.

HINT:

When cam position switch 1, 2 and 3 are not all "ON" or all "OFF", this DTC is cleared.

DTC CONDITION DETECTION CHART

DTC No. DTC Detecting Condition Trouble Area
B2214 Cam position switch 1, 2 and 3 in the door closer and double locking motor are all "ON" or all "OFF".
  • Door closer motor
  • Wire harness
  • Rear door LH ECU

The cam position switch is built in the door lock assembly and detects the position of the closer motor.

The relationship between each switch and closer conditions are as follows motor.

When it operates in regular rotation, the operation is performed in order from top of the list. When in reverse rotation, from bottom of the list.

CONDITIONS

Closer motor conditions CPS1 CPS2 CPS3
(Error range) OFF OFF OFF
1. Reverse rotation range ON OFF ON
2. Original position OFF ON ON
3. Closer operation range ON ON OFF
4. Reverse rotation range ON OFF OFF
(Error range) OFF OFF OFF

If the closer detection switch does not operate in order as mentioned above the door ECU judges the closer as defective and the operation is stopped.

Regular rotation: 1 --> 2 --> 3 --> 4 --> 6 --> 5 --> 1

Reverse rotation: 1 --> 5 --> 6.--> 4 --> 3 --> 2.--> 1
