Inspection Procedure

HINT:

In case of using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start from step  2

  1. Check cam position (POLE/ FULL/ HALF) switch using LEXUS hand-held tester. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to DLC 3.

    CHECK: 

    Check the door closer detection switch using DATA LIST.

    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG : Go to next step. 
  2. Check cam position switch (See  INSPECTION  ). 
    1. NG : Replace door lock assembly. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  3. Check wire harness and connector between cam position switch and driver door ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Replace driver door ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
