Inspection Procedure

Check tilt and telescopic manual switch using LEXUS hand-held tester.

PREPARATION:

Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3.

CHECK:

Check the tilt and telescopic manual switch using DATA LIST.

OK:

Tilt and telescopic steering switch:

TILT AND TELESCOPIC STEERING SWITCH SPECIFICATION

Switch name (Tester display)	No pressing	Pressing
Telescopic short switch (TELESC SHORT SW)	OFF	ON
Telescopic long switch (TELESC LONG SW)	OFF	ON
Telescopic down switch (TELESC DOWN SW)	OFF	ON
Telescopic up switch (TELESC UP SW)	OFF	ON

OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
NG : Replace combination switch (See REMOVAL ).
