Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus LS 430. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

HINT:

In case of not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start from STEP  2.

  1. Perform active test. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3.

    CHECK: 

    Check that "Power seat motor" operates as the LEXUS hand-held tester directs.

    OK: 

    The motor operates normally. 

    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG : Go to next step. 
  2. Check power seat motor (See  INSPECTION  ). 
    1. NG : Replace the motor. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  3. Check harness and connector between driver seat ECU and motor (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. OK : Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. NG : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ).
