Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK CONTINUITY OF COMMUNICATION LINE 
    1. Check the wire harness among the power window regulator master switch assy (driver door ECU) and driver side J/B (body ECU) and power window regulator switch assy (passenger door ECU).

      1. Disconnect the connectors of the D17 power window regulator master switch assy (driver door ECU), B5 driver side J/B (body ECU) and F19 power window regulator switch assy (passenger door ECU).
      2. Check the continuity between terminal MPX1 (D17-7) of the power window regulator master switch assy (driver door ECU) wire harness side connector and terminal MPX1 (B5-11) of the driver side J/B (body ECU) wire harness side connector.

        Standard: Continuity 

      3. Check the continuity between terminal MPX2 (D17-8) of the power window regulator master switch assy (driver door ECU) wire harness side connector and terminal MPX2 (F13-8) of the power window regulator switch assy (passenger door ECU) wire harness connector.

        Standard: Continuity 

        NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

        OK: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY (DRIVER DOOR ECU) (POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Inspect the ECU power source input.
      1. Disconnect the D17 ECU connector.
      2. Check the voltage between each terminal of the ECU wire harness side connector and the body ground.

        Standard:

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE FUSE OR WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER DOOR ECU) (GROUND) 
    1. Inspect the ECU.
      1. Disconnect the D17 ECU connector.

      3. Check the continuity between terminal GND (D17-2) of the ECU wire harness connector and the body ground.

      Standard: Continuity 

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

      OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY
