Inspection Procedure

- CHECK THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY
- Disconnect the theft warning ECU assy connector.
- Check the voltage between the theft warning ECU assy connector and body ground, as shown in Fig 1 and Fig 2.
Standard:
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step.
- INSPECT SECURITY HORN ASSY
- Connect the positive (+) lead to terminal 1 of the theft deterrent horn connector and negative (-) lead to body ground.
Standard: Security horn blows
NG: REPLACE SECURITY HORN ASSY
OK: Go to next step.
- Connect the positive (+) lead to terminal 1 of the theft deterrent horn connector and negative (-) lead to body ground.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY - SECURITY HORN ASSY)
- Disconnect the theft warning ECU assy and security horn connectors.
- Check the continuity between the theft warning ECU assy connector and theft deterrent horn connector, as shown in Fig 4 and Fig 5.
Standard:
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: CHECK AND REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION )
