Inspection Procedure

  1. READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main SW ON.
    3. Select the item "D DOR CTY SW" in the DATA LIST and read its value displayed on the hand-held tester.

    OK: ON: Driver's door is open 

    OFF: Driver's door is close 

    OK REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY 

    NG: OK: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Remove the courtesy lamp switch.
    2. Inspect the courtesy lamp switch continuity, as shown in Fig 1 and Fig 2.

    Standard:

    NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Disconnect the B6 body ECU and D8 courtesy switch connectors.
    2. Check the continuity between the connectors.

    Standard:

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: CHECK DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY (See  TERMINALS OF ECU   )
