Inspection Procedure

  1. READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main SW ON.
    3. Select the item "TRNK / BDR OPN SW" in the DATA LIST and read its value displayed on the hand-held tester.

      OK: Luggage compartment door opener SW signal 

      (Luggage compartment door opener main SW signal) / ON or OFF 

      OK: TO LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CIRCUIT (See  LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK CIRCUIT   ) 

      NG: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Remove the luggage door opening switch assy.
    2. Check the continuity between the terminals of the switch.

      Standard:

      NG: REPLACE LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSY 

      OK: Go to next step. 

  3. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSY CANCEL 
    1. Remove the luggage door opening switch assy cancel.
    2. Check the continuity between the terminals of the switch.

      Standard:

      NG: REPLACE LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSY CANCEL 

      OK: Go to next step. 

  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Disconnect the L1 luggage door opening switch assy cancel and B5 driver side J/B (body ECU) connectors.

    3. Check the continuity of the wire harness between the switch and driver side J/B (body ECU).

      Standard:

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

      OK: Go to next step. 

  5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Disconnect the F10 luggage door opening switch as and L1 luggage door opening switch assy cancel connectors.
    2. Check the continuity of the wire harness between the luggage door opening switch assy and luggage door opening switch assy cancel.

      Standard:

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

      OK: REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY
